Why? Who? What'd I do?

Sigh..... ok so I check my mail like I do everyday and look at the adds because I am addicted to scrapbooking, this is why I went into busines, right?

Well to my surprise I found out that my address I use for ads was signed up to a bunch of spam. I did however get my hands on the IP of the host so who ever did this has been tunred in.
I really don't understand why someone would do this. I would like to think I am a good person who is only trying to be a good wife, mother, and create for my favorite hobby.
I mean really? Why? It's not like I'm a threat to anyone, I'm just a human being who is trying to survive in a mean world. I have enough to worry about with a daughter who has special needs, and huge medical bills I honestly don't know what to think right now.
If you are reading this and you are the one who did it, please stop and please remember that we all have hard times and if you hate me, tell me to my face and then let it go.

Oh, I do so agree with you and feel vexed on your behalf. And I'm sure it's not personal.

Recently, my husband didn't recieve spam mail, but appeared to have sent spam about the benefits of using viagra to all his contacts!

Someone (a hacker) had got into his yahoo mail.
Goodnes knows how they cracked his password.

DH works with the local council so lots of his fellow workmates were on his contacts list, which included a member of the police!

So everyone, make sure your password is really secure. (a mix of letters, numbers, and characters, upper and lower case)

Thank you for your comment and thoughts.
That is awful for your hubby.
I had my yahoo mail account hacked many years ago and all the person wanted was an ICQ number I had. Unreal. I did get my account back but it was terrible.

This was not a hack on my account but someone taking my address and just signing up I think that's what stings the most.

Good advice! Be sure you have a secure password.
Kit
